Leap and Learn FAQ's
Do I need extended day?
Each kiddo is different, but with the high energy of this program, we recommend that 3 year olds choose to do only the 9:00 to 12:30 Traditional Session. This gives them plenty of time to develop basic letter and number recognition skills, listening discipline, and the social interaction that kiddos need at this age.
What is the cost of the tuition and fees?
The cost of the Traditional Session, which is 9:00 to 12:30 on Tuesday and Thursday, is $175 a month. It is due on the first of each of the 10 months. If you prefer, you can make 2 payments of $875, in the months of August and January.
What will the school calendar be?
We will be following the Oldham County school schedule for major holidays, breaks, and inclement weather closings. If we miss more than 4 days due to inclement weather, we will make them up throughout the remainder of the school year. Tuition will not be pro-rated due to absences, and there will be no make-up days.
Will there be an annual registration fee?
There will be an annual registration fee of $35 for all participants to reserve your spot and cover your insurance for the year. This insurance will also cover any other Power and Grace event you might choose to attend.
What are some examples of Movement Based Learning?
Movement Based Learning is anything and everything that gets the body moving and the brain ticking. There will be a lot of running, building, painting, rolling, and laughing. There will be no desks because there won't be time to sit at them. Kiddos will only be at the table for art projects and when they make a healthy snack together.
What will the daily schedule be?
Traditional Session
How many kiddos will be in the class?
It is our goal to get 12 kiddos enrolled this first year. Ms. Ashley will be the primary teacher during the 9:00 to 12:30 session, and Ms. Suzanne will take over for the Extended Day Session. The kiddos will work together as one group the majority of the time, but we will split when deemed appropriate, according to age.
What else will my kiddo experience?
* Music
What opportunities will there be for parent volunteering?
Teachers anticipate needing Parent Volunteers for days when we do things like science experiments, multipstep healthy snack making, and for particularly messy sensory play. We will complie a list of Parent Volunteers, and when these types of activities are scheduled, we will send an email to the Parent Volunteer List. If you are willing to add your name to the Parent Volunteer List, let Suzanne and Trevor Williams know as soon as possible, so they can get background checks up and running.
What school supplies will be needed?
We will have a list of school supplies that each student will purchase. The list will be provided when you complete your registration, and we would like you to drop off the supplies at Orientation Day, August 15, from 10:00 to 11:30.
